KUBE: ART / ARCHITECTURE / DESIGN / DOCUMENTARY
Formerly known as The Study Gallery of Modern Art, Poole

KUBE is Poole's foremost public art gallery. Formerly The Study Gallery of Modern Art, the gallery has exhibited over 5,000 works during it's existence. The exhibition programme has expanded with the relaunch as KUBE and now encompasses all four disciplines (ART, ARCHITECTURE, DESIGN, DOCUMENTARY) and is accompanied by an extensive and varied education programme of events and workshops. With a vibrant café and large bookshop, KUBE is a social and cultural meeting point for people to share and learn about art.

Exhibitions are accompanied by series' of niche, experimental cultural events with a focus initially on music, film and literature. The practical projects, activities and events programmed throughout the year are designed for all age groups and aim to bring together the community, schools, colleges, artists and designers.

The gallery also houses the mid-20th Century collection owned by the Bournemouth and Poole College. This includes works by Henry Moore, Barbara Hepworth, Ivon Hitchens and Briget Riley.

KUBE was designed by international architect Richard Horden and opened in November 2000.

KUBE/The Study Gallery is a registered charity no. 1078987
