I am a potter from Portugal and have been living in London for 10 years. I began by taking courses at Sands End, Chelsea and then at Masbro school, west London.
My work covers a broad spectrum of both decorative and functional pieces. I use stoneware, earthenware and Porcelain clay. Recently, I have been producing “V” shaped and “U” shaped pieces, with a volcanic textured glazed which I created. Both shapes and glazes were inspired by Lucie Rie. I enjoyed the challenge of reproducing a glaze that would blend well with the pots I had thrown.
I have been influenced by many potters including Lucie Rie.
