The Centre embodies both the visual and cultural heritage of Jaipur and has been instrumental in bringing to Jaipur high-quality art exhibitions, performing arts and literary programs. Designed by one of India’s greatest architects, Charles Correa, the JKK is regarded as a masterpiece of architectural beauty and symmetry and with the reopening of the Museum Galleries provide an unparalleled opportunity to showcase contemporary ceramics. In exhibitions hosted in 2017, the JKK has recorded up to 800 visitors on weekdays and 1500 visitors over the weekends drawing audiences from Jaipur and across the country.
