The HuMBase – a search for gaps, an evasion and an opportunity to exploit potential in a place aside from existing structures. This creates the opportunity to work, to develop, test and establish new formats together. A process for which new space has to be created again and again in a cultural landscape that is rapidly becoming more efficient.
The HuMBase was initiated in summer 2018 by the design collective HuM-Collective consisting of Hannah Häußer and Maximilian Borchert. Now, the offspace and studio project, which was designed to be able to adapted to various spaces and buildings, has found a temporary home in an abandoned church in the north of Stuttgart.
