Hemera Collective is a curatorial group focusing on photography and lens-based media. Working with established and early-career artists, as well as photographic archives, Hemera curates exhibitions, organises public programmes, produces new commissions with artists, and offers artist and collection advisory.
The group has a diverse range of interests and experience in researching, archiving, and exhibiting historical and contemporary lens-based works. Our philosophy is to be open to collaboration through a range of specialisms, and we believe that working together and sharing knowledge and ideas brings forward the most engaging projects.
Hemera is part of the Board of Trustees for Brighton Photo Fringe where we contribute to the future of this vital festival. Since 2014, Ashley Lumb has also published the London Photography Diary and New York Photography Diary to foster awareness of photographic exhibitions and events in these cities. The Collective has been developed through the collaborative work of many individuals, including present members Jaime Marie Davis, Ashley Lumb, Helen Trompeteler, Bindi Vora, and Kay Watson.
