Helston Museum was established in 1949 and is housed in a large listed building, formerly the Butter and Egg Market, Cattle Market and Drill Hall in the centre of Helston. The deceptively small entrance leads into five display halls on two floors, bursting with exhibits reflecting the history of Helston and the surrounding area. With one of the best social history, photograph and costume collections in the South West, Helston museum is a fascinating and FREE experience, where you are guaranteed a warm welcome from staff and volunteers.
