Vangar is a contemporary art gallery based in Valencia since December 2018. The gallery has a strong commitment to emerging and mid-career artists, supporting recent creation, bringing art to new audiences and building bridges between museums, institutions, foundations, public and private collections.
At the age of 27, Amalio Vanaclocha started his gallery project in Valencia with the aim of creating a space for the diffusion and support of emerging artists. After several years of work and growth, in 2023 the project took another step towards a new stage with the incorporation of Elisa Montesinos as co-director. In the same year, Vangar opened its doors in a new space that has become a reflection of Elisa and Amalio's vision and collaborative spirit. Through projects that go beyond the exhibition space, Vangar seeks to connect with diverse audiences, collaborate with cultural institutions and initiatives, and participate in national and international art fairs, encouraging experimentation and dialogue in contemporary art.
The gallery and its artists have received awards and acquisitions from prestigious institutions such as the Hortensia Herrero Foundation, the Sorigué Foundation, the Kells Collection, the DKV Collection, the La Escalera Collection, the Carme & Lluís Bassat Foundation, the Mango Collection, the DiGood Collection, the Gandía Blasco Collection, the Juan José Castellano Comenge Foundation, Cervezas Alhambra and the Generalitat Valenciana Collection, among others.
Vangar is a member of the Valencian Association of Contemporary Art Galleries (LAVAC) and the National Consortium of Contemporary Art Galleries of Spain.
