Futur.Shock CIC

Futur.Shock CIC is the not-for-profit multi-disciplinary art platform embedded with FOLD music & art venue in Canning Town. It promotes, educates & explores next-generation techniques in inter-disciplinary practices & expanded fields of club culture, electronic music, interactive design, architecture, audio-visual performance and digital art production. Our programming aims to help us to come to terms with our recent confrontation with futurity and aid us to understand more effectively and collectively our own creative adaptability rate. We champion collaboration and education to deepen our understanding of contemporary multi-disciplinary music/art practices and support education across disciplines, creating new principles for making within this rapidly evolving and merging culture.

As an Artist-Led space this new platform builds upon FOLD Resident Artists strong individual track records as interdisciplinary artists, producers, curators, musicians & graphic designers/animators, film-makers and engineers. Experimental approaches to new media defines all of our careers to date and the configuration and position between both electronic music and the art world makes FOLD/Futur.Shock more than equipt to support all forms of avant-guard and new interdisciplinary experimentation, production and collaborations.
