The Fundació Sorigué furthers the business group’s desire to give back to society through different activities with a clear social, educational and cultural commitment.
Our Origins
In 1985, Julio Sorigué and Josefina Blasco decided to establish the Fundació Sorigué in order to ensure social responsibility to society through the Sorigué business group.
Since 1992, a day centre has been serving more than fifty young people with intellectual disabilities. At the same time, the Foundation carries out welfare activities collaborating with various social projects belonging to public and private institutions.
Driving artistic creation
In the same vein, the Foundation firmly supports culture, incorporating an additional project of social responsibility in 2000: the creation of a contemporary art collection, today considered one of the most important in Spain. In 2015, the collection was awarded the “Arte y Mecenazgo” (Art and Patronage Award), by the “La Caixa” Foundation.
Our mission
To promote social responsibility through Sorigué with a range of activities in the fields of socio-education, culture and art.
We have built a significant collection of national and international contemporary art of more than 450 works of painting, drawing, photography, new media, and sculpture.
Our vision: PLANTA
The PLANTA project unites our understanding of social responsibility through art and its confluence with architecture, landscape, science, knowledge and enterprise
