frontviews

Frontviews is a Europe-wide initiative of artists and cultural theorists based in Berlin as a registered association. Our members of different European origin live in Berlin or in other European regions. As a collective, we plan and organize exhibitions and events of contemporary art at various locations, mostly in Berlin, partly at other places in Europe. We offer participants in our formats a platform of visibility and artistic exchange to enrich Berlin's cultural scene and promote the European idea. With its flexible, collective structure, Frontviews attempts to respond to the challenge of how to maintain our independent artistic practice without being tied exclusively to the commercial art market or the demands of traditional, public art institutions.
