The Federation of Canadian Artists is a non-profit registered charity, founded in 1941 by members of the Group of Seven including Lawren Harris.

Now over 2,000 members strong, we look to support emerging and established artists through the provision of networking, educational and exhibitional opportunities.

We host between 12-20 exhibitions annually that are free and open to the public, along with two open international competitions and exhibitions, two online competitions and exhibitions and more besides.

The majority of our exhibitions are juried on a peer review system by members that have progressed through our four-stage membership program: Supporting, Active, Associate and Senior.

With a diverse and engaging Spring and Fall educational program, we also aim to bring education to all members and non-members alike utilising new technology through our online critiques.

In the spirit of our founders, we aim to make the visual arts not only more prominent, but more relevant to contemporary society.
