Fahrenheit by FLAX was a non-profit initiative dedicated to research and creation in the field of contemporary art.

Conceived by FLAX Foundation and developed by Director and Curator Martha Kirszenbaum from January 2014 through December 2016, it was an interrelated residency program with a space located at 2245 E. Washington Blvd dedicated to exhibitions, performances, screenings and talks.

Fahrenheit by FLAX supported the exchange and integration of France-related artists, curators and critics within Los Angeles. It proposed different types of residencies for artists, curators and writers, lasting between one to three months. Each resident was invited to develop a unique project, and benefits from housing, workspace, and funding for research or production related to an exhibition, an event or a publication.

Residents included:

Curator Myriam Ben Salah
Artist Renaud Jerez
Curator Shanaynay and Sabrina Tarasoff
Artist Laure Prouvost
Artist David Douard
Critic Dorothée Dupuis
Artist Julien Prévieux
Artist Caroline Mesquita
