DOTS is an idea for an exhibition space and program devoted to contemporary art, conceived by Contemporary art curator and writer Caterina Fondelli.

DOTS stems from the great desire to support emerging art, to give voice to artists both from Germany and also from other parts of Europe and the world, especially those artists who haven’t been too much exhibited, or also never in some cases, in Leipzig. The project also wants to involve these artists who are not represented by art galleries, or the ones who search a space to experiment and express themselves and where to feel welcomed, promoted and guided through the art world. All mediums will be part of the program, to have an environment where inclusion, support, mutual help, debate and freedom of thoughts can thrive.

EXCHANGE is the key word of the project called DOTS, where the name stands for the points in between something, sometimes not very noticed, but with a deep and significant value, worth and pivotal to shed a light on.

DOTS wishes to develop some parallel activities linked to each show presented, such as workshops, talks, zine publications. The focus of art shows and related events will always try to have a social, psychological, community relevance, with a particular interest for food, landscape, folklore and neighbourhood topics. The importance of DOTS will be to generate a cultural hub for people from all backgrounds, where everyone can have a chance to participate in the art world.
