The Daimler Art Collection was started in 1977 and currently includes about 2,600 works by approximately 700 German and international artists. The collection focuses on abstract and geometrical pictorial concepts, from which it derives its distinctive character.
Its academic ambitions are communicated in the form of thematic publications, through the organisation of lectures or talks as well as in the form of temporary exhibition series, which are shown at the exhibition space Daimler Contemporary. The gallery in the historic Haus Huth on Potsdamer Platz in the heart of Berlin is open throughout the week from 11 am until 7 pm and admission is free.
