A World-Class Collection | A World-Class Experience

Coventry Transport Museum houses the largest publicly owned collection of British vehicles on the planet and tells the story of a city which changed the world through transport. Visitors can expect captivating displays, interactive galleries, and highly immersive exhibitions - a day to remember.

14 fully accessible galleries are home to the fastest vehicle in the world, pioneering bicycles, transport champions and many of the most innovative, memorable and luxurious vehicles of the last 200 years. For those seeking more adventure, walk through The Blitz experience or enjoy a ride in one of three 4D simulator rides.*

*Please note, the 4D simulator is currently under maintenance, and will be up and running again in the new year. The simulator is charged for seperately and not included in the admission price.

Aside from the collection itself, the programme includes touring exhibitions from across the globe, hands on family activities and a wide range of events from Breakfast Clubs to fusion festivals.

Coventry Transport Museum is not just a destination for transport enthusiasts; it’s a destination for storytellers and escapists; speed freaks and thrill seekers; history buffs and families.

With an award-winning coffee house, picnic areas throughout the museum and an exceptional gift shop, it makes a fantastic day out!

The Museum’s collection consists of motor cars, commercial vehicles, cycles and motorcycles.  In addition, extensive collections of automobilia, books, photographs and a wealth of other archive material is held and conserved at the Coventry Archives at the Herbert Art Gallery & Museum.  Most of the collection exists through the outstanding generosity of individual donors.
