Chelsea Waterside ArtSpace, a 200 square metre exhibition space, sits proudly in the middle of Grosvenor Waterside, a stone’s throw from Chelsea Bridge and the Thames Embankment. Encased by double aspect, double height windows the room is flooded with natural light bouncing from The Thames Stone & Negative Fall adjacent water feature, by Ekkehard Altenburger.
The creation of an art space at Hepworth Court, Grosvenor Waterside, in 2006 (approved by Westminster City Council as part of the Section 106 planning consent) was part of a cultural strategy for this prestigious residential development.
Visitors to the space are not only those residing in the development but also those drawn through it as they walk around the dock, and onwards, discovering the local area.
