Casa Sponge:  artists' refuge, collector of ideas, art center. Born in 2008 to promote contemporary art in a space on the edge of the conventional circuit. The headquarters - home of Giovanni Gaggia, founder and Artistic Director - is located in a characteristic country house set on one of the beautiful hills around Pergola (PU). In the following years it became a center of social, cultural and recreational aggregation that educates in search of "beauty"; in art, territory and culture in general. There are two essential characteristics of Casa Sponge: the choice to work in the province and an idea of artistic research in which curators and artists work together, in total freedom, making the division of roles uncertain. In ten years of activity the association, maintaining total independence and self-financing almost all its activities, has been able to offer the public high-level Italian and international artistic proposals in a dense and regular program, gaining the attention and support of the press local, national and major trade magazines. In ten years of activity, around 300 artists have collaborated with Casa Sponge. The honorary vice-president of the association is Davide Quadrio, founder of Arthub Asia. Members of the board are: Milena Becci, Daniela Eusepi, Stefano Verri and Mattia Galantini.
