Designed by world renowned architect Piers Gough, partner at CZWG architects, the Canada Water Library opened in November 2011. The library incorporates a range of cultural and community facilities, reflecting Southwark Council’s ambition to put libraries at the heart of community life.
As part of an innovative partnership with Southwark Council, our 150-seat Theatre is managed and programmed by the Albany, South East London’s leading performing arts venue. The Albany has a reputation for visionary programming that reflects the cultural diversity and creative mix of the area.
The Albany also manages the suite of six meeting rooms that are available for hire, and the on site Culture Café.
So whether you’re coming to a performance, hiring a meeting room, having a coffee or visiting the library we look forward to welcoming you soon.
