Residencies for Artists & Writers
Work and stay in the Greater Vernon community, lovely Okanagan Valley in British Columbia, Canada.
Length of residencies may vary, from 2 weeks up to 6 months, depending upon availability.
The Caetani Cultural Centre offers artists and writers creative living and working spaces in an independent community atmosphere for self-directed residencies, providing time, support and room for creativity, at affordable rates.
Open to emerging and established visual artists in any medium, writers, musicians, curators, cultural researchers, musicians and performing artists.
Some programs are sponsored, such as the Fresh! AiR program in partnership with the Allan Brooks Nature Centre, the WiRCK program in partnership with Kalamalka Press and Okanagan College, and the CeramAIR program in partnership with the Arts Council of the North Okanagan.
Self-directed residencies are of varying lengths of time, from 2 weeks to 6 months, to suit the individual needs of the applicant. Please specify the preferred time period for the residency and length of stay for project in your application form. The Self-Directed Residencies are not sponsored or themed.
Some programs may have deadlines - please check our website www.caetani.ca. Unless otherwise indicated, applications are ongoing, however applicants are suggested to apply at least 3 months prior to the required time period to ensure consideration. All applications are adjudicated by a professional adjudication panel.
The Self-Directed Residencies are not sponsored or themed, and fees are based and pro-rated on length of stay, and workplace requirements. Participants are expected to provide their own food, materials, and transportation.
