C24 Gallery is a contemporary, international art gallery established in 2011 in Chelsea, NYC. Over the last couple of years, led by Director and Curator David C. Terry, former 16-year Director/Curator of Grants/Exhibitions at The New York Foundation for the Arts, we have embarked on a mission to include more underrepresented artists and address current political and social issues through dynamic, interactive programming, while diversifying our roster beyond the typical gallery profile and broadening our community outreach. As an African-American curator and Gallery Director based in both Harlem and Berlin, Mr. Terry, along with owners, Emre and Maide Kurttepeli, both based in Istanbul, have brought an international perspective to our artist roster and curatorial direction. Our vision is to present work that is aesthetically strong, masterfully executed and communicates ideas and ideals of marginalized communities and how they stand in the world today. In addition to an ambitious exhibition and art fair program, the Gallery has launched a series of collaborative partnerships with non-profit and artist-run arts institutions, including The Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts, Field Projects, Berlin-based A:D: Curatorial and the UK-based ING Discerning Eye Exhibition. We are currently launching cultural partnerships with the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), Goethe-Institut and Deutsches Haus at NYU. Our calendar's scope has expanded to include panel discussions, performances and other events addressing issues disproportionately impacting marginalized communities, including race, gender, age, ethnicity, sexuality and the environment, in a more active, engaged manner.
