Brooke Benington was established by directors Lily Brooke Day and George Mingozzi-Marsh (who both previously ran separate galleries) in late 2019, launching its online programme with the group exhibition The Mask of Dionysus. In early 2020, Brooke Benington curated Under the Volcano at Studio Block M74 in Mexico City: featuring artists who had participated in the Brooke Benington Residency in the city. The Covid 19 pandemic disrupted plans to open a London gallery space in 2020. Throughout the pandemic, Brooke Benington focused on two editions of its seasonal sculpture park Contemporary Sculpture Fulmer, staged solo and group exhibitions in London, Milan and Venice and curated two exhibitions of public sculpture in Canary Wharf, together with continuing a regular online exhibition programme.

The gallery will run a programme of UK and international contemporary artists working across media. Represented artists will be announced in line with exhibitions.
