Blau Projects
São Paulo, Brazil
The director of the space, Juliana Blau, wants to foster discussion about the various languages and contemporary approaches, such as painting, photography, video, three-dimensional objects, drawing and performance, also recognizing hybridity and multidisciplinarity are strong vectors of production. In this sense, Blau Projects wants to be in a free territory for experimentation and other challenges in the increasingly fascinating world of contemporary art.
Focusing on the international scene, the gallery aims to hold exhibitions of artists from around the world, building partnerships, promoting exchanges with institutions and participating in art fairs. The gallery also produces independent projects to its program of regular visual arts exhibitions, the C.LAB, currently in its third edition, which aims to encourage and stimulate reflection and debate on contemporary art offering the public new ways of approaches and experiences. This project funds and provides the structure of the gallery for the production of selected projects, providing the artists and curators in early-stage opportunity for professional development in the visual arts.
The Blau Projects is a member of ABACT - Brazilian Association of Contemporary Art since early 2014. The gallery is a member and participates at the international program of Brazilian contemporary galleries, Latitude.
