BOOK CONCEPT AND EDITING WORKSHOP WITH AHORN BOOKS

30th - 31st of October 2021

If you're working on a book and need some direct feedback on a specific project, we will be holding an in-person workshop on editing and understanding the possible narrative paths of the book. The workshop will be hosted by BEAST, a program organized and curated by the art photographer Anne Lass in collaboration with botanist and artist Armin Mangold.

The workshop will consist of two full days of discussions and exchange of ideas in the village of Østermarie on the Danish island of Bornholm.

Ahorn Books is a publishing project founded by Daniel Augschöll and Anya Jasbar in 2016, as an organic extension of the online platform dedicated to contemporary photography, Ahorn Magazine.

What:
On Saturday, The workshop will feature exercises related to the understanding of different narrative structures in the construction of a photobook and the specific relationship between images and text. On Sunday, the workshop will be dedicated to the analysis and work of individual student projects, specific feedback from the tutors with the integration of comments from other students.

Fee: 200 Euro /1500 kr. (lunch and drinks included).
