Promoting a culture of creativity and innovation the Australian Centre for Photography (ACP) strives for excellence in the exhibition, education and publication of photography, now and for the future.
With four decades of experience ACP is one of the longest running contemporary art spaces in Australia and is committed to the presentation and promotion of photo-media artists and their work. ACP aims to inspire the community and encourage engagement with photography through a tailored program of events, courses and workshops, generating a dynamic dialogue on photography; its forms, creation and interpretation.
As a Not-for-Profit organisation ACP is assisted by the NSW Government through Arts NSW and the Australian Government through the Australia Council, its arts funding and advisory body. ACP is also supported by the Visual Arts and Craft Strategy, an initiative of the Australian, State and Territory Governments and has been since 2004.
