We are 'The Asylum' Art Gallery. A place to see vibrant art from local artists.
A collective and community.

During our relatively short existence and period of operation, we have, nonetheless, exhibited and staged a varied body of work by several artists – both developing and established – encompassing a diverse and multi-disciplinary range of artistic practices including: Painting, Sculpture, Printmaking, Illustration, Sound, Video and Performance Art.

In short, we actively encourage, enable, develop, mentor, facilitate, empower and support local creative arts practitioners from a wide range of backgrounds.

Established in September 2014, the Asylum Art Gallery is located in the Chapel Ash district of Wolverhampton – an inspiring creative quarter and ever-diversifying area of the city: home to a number galleries, including the Eagle Works Artists' Studios; several creative industries; a number of art related businesses, providing art materials and specialist framing services; and numerous creative professionals. In addition, Chapel Ash is the location for both the annual Junction and July Paintings festivals – both of which the Asylum Art Gallery will be providing the use of our exhibition space.
