Art with a Heart is a constituted not for profit organisation formed by Karen Wroe, Project Director in 2012. It is the Arts and Heritage Centre in Altrincham, set up for the benefit of the local community. We are a Registered Charity (No. 1159034) and have Independant Museum Status.
Based in 82-84 George Street Altrincham, the former Superdrug unit, we are in the heart of Altrincham's town center. We provide monthly exhibitions and events within our two gallery spaces and also have a creative corner for families and individuals to come along and create work.
Our heritage area has maps of the local area from the 1870s, as aswell as local objects, photographs and artefacts of interest.
We are the exclusive home to the North-West 'Artist Trading Cards' events and work with many groups within the community including the socially isolated, Artists on the Autistic Spectrum, Manchesters homeless community and students of all ages.
Mission:
To advance the arts and heritage in Altrincham, in particular by the provision of an arts and heritage centre and the provision of events, exhibitions and displays.
To help young people aged 16-24, especially but not exclusively through leisure time activities, so as to develop their capabilities that may grow to full maturity as individuals and members of society.
