Established in the art market as one of the main galleries in the city of São Paulo, for the last 15 years Galeria de Arte Almeida e Dale has been operating in the secondary market of Brazilian and Latin American art. With selected works by modern and contemporary artists, it has provided the country’s most important collections with significant works by artists such as Portinari, Di Cavalcanti, Bonadei, Cicero Dias, Alfonso Botero, Beatriz Milhazes, Cildo Meireles, Adriana Varejão, and many others.

The gallery’s ample exhibition space in São Paulo’s Jardim Paulista District allows for the holding of large exhibitions, and, since 2012, Almeida e Dale has chosen to hold solo shows, based on historical research by a selected curator, so the path of each artist can be shown in its various aspects.

For these exhibitions, the gallery relies on the generosity of countless private collectors, since not all the artworks shown are for sale. This is how it was able to hold the exhibition Botero in 2012, the show in honor of the 40th anniversary of the death of Aldo Bonadei, in 2013, the large exhibition with 80 artworks by Alfredo Volpi, in April 2014, the exhibition with Guignard works in September 2014, and the late exhibitions by Willys de Castro, Cândido Portinari, Jandyra Waters and Ismael Nery in 2015.
