A Gentil Carioca is a contemporary art gallery that is different from other galleries for their particular characteristics, one of which is being designed by three artists - Marcio Botner , Ernesto Neto and Laura Lima - initiative that makes it unique in Brazil. Also its proposal and purpose are generous, it is to make this gallery a place to think, produce, experience, and celebrate the art market.

Located in the Historic Center of Rio de Janeiro, more specifically in the region called the Sahara, a place known as the largest open market in Latin America and founded last century by Arab and Jewish immigrants. Around you, is all kinds of trinkets and spices, essential attraction for many artists and the curious. It's about one of these stores that Gentil has its presence in a townhouse of 20 years.
