Singapore’s annual pinnacle performing arts festival is back — and we’re here to help you get around it all.

The Singapore International Festival of Arts (SIFA) is back this year from 16 May to 1 June 2025, and it’s shaping up to be one of the most ambitious editions yet. With events happening across multiple venues islandwide — from theatres and parks to neighbourhood squares — the festival brings together a packed programme of performances, installations and workshops, all under the theme More Than Ever. ArtRabbit is jumping in to make sure you can get from one event to the next smoothly, helping you discover the festival in a way that suits your own rhythm.

SIFA 2025 isn’t just big — it’s sprawling. And that’s a good thing. This year’s festival marks Singapore’s 60th year of independence, and the programming reflects that milestone with a strong focus on homegrown talent: 15 new commissions from Singaporean artists are on the bill, covering everything from reimagined classics like LEAR and Animal Farm, to new works that explore themes like labour, sustainability, and urban life. There’s also a solid international showing, with performances coming in from Lebanon, Chile, the US and beyond — adding diverse voices and global perspectives to the mix.

One of the most exciting additions this year is the SIFA Pavilion at Bedok Town Square — a pop-up arts space right in the heartlands. It’s where you’ll catch the opening work The Sea and the Neighbourhood, a multi-arts piece blending visual installation, dance, music, and video, all inspired by Bedok’s coastal history. Over at Empress Lawn, Little SIFA returns with performances and activities designed for younger audiences, including a soundscape installation recalling the early days of Orchard Road and a family-friendly take on Orwell’s Animal Farm.

Some other standout picks? hello, is this working? by Drama Box invites you to question how we think about work and labour in Singapore. COLONY, a dance piece by a regional collective of dancers from Southeast Asia and Japan, explores identity and connection across cultures. Vampyr by Chilean artist Manuela Infante turns a sharp (and slightly surreal) eye on energy and the environment. And HOME by Geoff Sobelle offers a stunning theatrical experience about what it means to live, move, and age in one place.

With this many experiences spread out across town, hopping between venues is all part of the fun — and that’s where the ArtRabbit app comes in. Whether you’re planning to hit three shows in a day or just want to see what’s nearby, ArtRabbit helps you explore SIFA 2025 with ease. You can browse events, get directions between venues, and even discover nearby galleries or pop-up spaces while you’re out.

So whether you're going full-festival mode or just dipping in for a weekend, don’t miss out. Download the ArtRabbit app and get the most out of SIFA 2025 — one venue, one show, and one unexpected discovery at a time.
