Santa Monica, United States
Marking Time showcases nearly 40 works by Chris McCaw, featuring his unique “sunburn” photographic process, solarized landscapes, and polaroid experiments, spanning two decades of innovation.
Chris McCaw is a San Francisco-based photographer who explores the movement of the sun across the sky. To create his images, McCaw attaches high-intensity lenses to homemade cameras large enough to hold pieces of photographic paper. His unique process results in solarized images, as vintage photographic paper is exposed inside the cameras. Read Jody Zellen’s full review on What’s on Los Angeles.
