New York Spotlight: Re-envisioning Chinese Landscape Paintings

Seven artists born between 1974 and 1992 are showcasing over 40 works that reinterpret traditional Chinese landscape art in light of contemporary global challenges.

The China Institute Gallery's spring exhibition, "Shan Shui Reboot: Re-envisioning Landscape for a Changing World," is open until 7 July. Learn how shan shui, traditionally a style of Chinese painting, is evolving into visual manifestations that address contemporary life and society’s urgent needs. Curated by Tiffany Wai-Ying Beres, this exhibition features recent works by seven established and emerging artists.
