Last chance to catch this enigmatic exhibition featuring photography, sculpture, and video installations that blend primitive art and celestial themes.

Ville Kansanen is a Finnish multidisciplinary artist based in California, whose works use digital photography to examine the "transcendent aspects of the natural environment." Venturing into the desert—an ever-changing expanse of barren land—he is equipped with a camera and props, assembling sculptures that he documents over time. His current show, "Future Primitive," is on view at Marshall Gallery in Santa Monica until 20 April. Read Jody's review on What's On Los Angeles.
