This weekend sees Berlin's galleries showcasing the best of what the city's contemporary art scene has to offer for the annual Gallery Weekend.

From Cy Twombly's captivating photographs to Hito Steyerl's exploration of post-pandemic cultural production, there is something for every art lover to enjoy. Here, we highlight ten exhibitions we're excited about.

Cy Twombly - Forms and Shades at Galerie Bastian showcases 26 photographs and two sculptures capturing poetic moments of nature and culture, utilising unique dry print techniques.

Cao Fei: Duotopia at Sprüth Magers is a major exhibition exploring art, media, technology, and humanity, featuring new works on metaverse, virtual reality, and human-machine interactions.

Peter Wüthrich: Les mots et les choses at Kewenig showcases seven works inspired by literature, transforming books into objects, sculptures, and installations, referencing Foucault and Sartre's works.

Trade Area at Klosterfelde Edition showcases Jorinde Voigt's 60 works made between 2005 and 2018, tracing her diagrammatic explorations of perception and observation, revealing connections between inner and outer worlds.

Dylan Solomon Kraus: ExHypnosis at Peres Projects is the artist's third solo exhibition exploring personal agency, featuring paintings with symbolic imagery and offering a new way of perceiving the world.

Malcolm Morley: Sensations at Capitain Petzel, curated by Michael Short in collaboration with the Estate of Malcolm Morley, showcases the artist's 60-year career. Morley's work emphasises sensation – the unmediated bodily response to the outside world through the senses – featuring diverse styles and subject matter.

Hito Steyerl: Contemporary Art Cave at Esther Schipper presents a site-specific iteration of Hito Steyerl's 2022 environment Animal Spirits, exploring post-pandemic conditions of cultural production, the rise of cryptocurrencies and NFT art, and possibilities for decentralisation and autonomy inspired by biological systems behind fermentation.

Kaloki Nyamai: Dining in Chaos at Galerie Barbara Thumm showcases the artist's new large-scale paintings depicting figures in times of social upheaval, incorporating sisal rope, dye transfer, and stitching on canvas.

K.R.H. Sonderborg: copy-paste at Galerie Georg Nothelfer showcases works by K.R.H. Sonderborg (1923-2008), a significant representative of “German Informel Art”. His paintings and drawings display a fascination with technical constructions and traces of movement.

Something Secret about the Universe (I always wanted to tell you) at Galerie Guido W. Baudach features Björn
Dahlem
's in-situ spatial installation with various new sculptures, exploring the connection between aesthetic universes and scientific images.
