The 12th edition of Vienna Art Week is "Seeking Beauty." The festival features an extensive programme of exhibitions, talks, tours, performances and more.

A brilliant line-up of exhibitions and events at Vienna's leading and alternative spaces has turned the Austrian capital into a mecca for art lovers and insiders, once again. To help you navigate the busy scene, ArtRabbit's Vienna correspondent Franziska Zaida Schrammel has shared her highlights:

Showcase of a fine selection of film work that came out of two outstanding film institutions - LaborBerlin and L'Abominable, Paris.

Peter Dressler at KUNST HAUS WIEN

A great retrospective of Austrian photographer and filmmaker Peter Dressler who had a long and lasting influence on Austrian photography.

Francis Alÿs and Avery Singer at Wiener Secession

Secession presents two Austrian debuts: Belgian-born and Mexico-based acclaimed artist Francis Alÿs’s minimal storyboard-like drawings of exercises and large-scale canvases, primarily digitally composed by young American painter Avery Singer are both on display throughout the winter season.

Iris Andraschek. ORDINAIRE BLAU at Galerie Raum mit Licht

Iris Andraschek's beautiful drawings of ornaments and portraits are inspired by her encounter with Syrian refugees in Turkey.

Open Studio Day at several studio locations in Vienna

Artists across Vienna will open their studios and take visitors behind the scenes. Explore artist studios on your own or join one of the many guided tour. I look forward to curator Christine Maria Holter's tour of Vienna’s oldest studio lofts on Westbahnstraße.
