Miami Art Week

The art crowd has returned to Miami for a week filled with art, design and parties. Approximately twenty art fairs, several collateral exhibitions, events, and pop up festivals are organised throughout and beyond the city of Miami.

While you’re in town, make sure to pay a visit to the extraordinary galleries and independent spaces in the area. What’s there to see, what should not be missed? We’ve listed our highlights.

Scope Miami Beach

Amidst tremendous support from the City of Miami Beach, SCOPE Art Show returns to the sands of Miami Beach for its 15th anniversary edition. SCOPE Miami Beach’s monumental pavilion will once again be situated on historic Ocean Drive to welcome 45,000 visitors over the course of 6 days. Over 125 international Exhibitors will present groundbreaking emerging work, alongside SCOPE’s Breeder and Juxtapoz Presents Programs.

Art Basel Miami Beach

An obvious choice. Over 250 of the world's leading galleries participate in Art Basel Miami Beach - the fair that draws over 70,000 visitors each year. The week of the Art Basel show teems with parallel exhibitions and cultural events, creating an exciting environment for art enthusiast.

NSU Art Museum

Founded in 1958, NSU Art Museum is a premier destination for exhibitions and programmes encompassing all facets of visual history. The Museum is located midway between Miami and Palm Beach in the heart of downtown Fort Lauderdale, and hosts two exhibitions you should not miss:

ICA Miami

The ICA Miami provides an international platform for the work of established and emerging artists, and advances the public appreciation and understanding of the most innovative and experimental art of our time. A solo exhibition dedicated to video and performance artist Alex Bag coincides with Miami Art Week.

Pérez Art Museum Miami - PAMM

Dedicated to collecting and exhibiting international art of the 20th and 21st centuries, the PAMM is an extraordinary destination, not least because of its architecture. Herzog & de Meuron designed the building to suit the tropical climate of Miami. Don’t miss Firelei Báez’s exhibition Bloodlines! Tracing the history of social movements in the Unites States and the Caribbean, Bloodlines presents a series of new works inspired by lineages of black resistance.

Rubell Family Collection and Contemporary Arts Foundation

Established in 1964, the Rubell Family Collection is one of the world’s largest, privately owned contemporary art collections. NO MAN’S LAND. Women Artists from the Rubell Family Collection presents works by contemporary art’s most extraordinary female artists.

Patricia & Phillip Frost Art Museum

One of the largest free-standing art museums in South Florida, the Patricia & Phillip Frost Art Museum has welcomed more than 40,000 visitors per year since its founding in 1977. Carola Bravo’s solo exhibition ‘Blurred Borders’ explores how societies shift and populations move, driven by war, poverty or persecution, and pulled by opportunity and hope.
