ZAP PRESENTS THE TOURING TALK, 'THE A-Z OF SURVIVING AS AN ARTIST'

About

Artists and curators, Annabel Tilley and Rosalind Davis discuss leaving art school and surviving, as well as the ins and outs of residencies, galleries, exhibitions, collectors, curating, teaching, tweeting, funding, marketing, portfolio careers and balancing it all! Anecdotal, practical and philosophical this talk is packed with information pertinent to all artists at any stage in their careers including students, new graduates and older artists returning after a break. Surviving as an Artist is designed to give all ambitious practitioners a new burst of energy or a head start in understanding how to create networks, raise profiles and get their work seen. Over the last two years, the A-Z talk has been hosted by galleries across the country including the De La Warr Pavilion and FirstSite, the Whitstable Biennale and a host of artist organisations in London, Liverpool, Bay Art (Cardiff) and Maidstone as well as Southampton Solent University, University of Chester, Hertfordshire, Loughbourough, Lincoln and Anglia Ruskin University. Tickets are £12.00 for this event and spaces are limited, please book here to secure your place. Wine and light refreshments will be served.
