Yusuf Keten and John Bardell present Spring Fever

John Bardell presents art deco sculptures made with glass, stone and lead. The exhibition takes in work that he has developed over the past two years that experiment with possibilities of an interplay of mass and light. John Bardell graduated from Ravensbourne in 1971.

Yusuf Keten presents contemporary, abstract art with acrylic on canvas. By creating work that consists of many layers, he feels as though the uniqueness is uncovered through the progression of the painting. He describes his work as organic, imaginative and completely detached from reality and is inspired by nature, memories and certain emotions. The work in this exhibition ranges from older work up until present pieces. For Yusuf his artwork takes himself and the viewers away from ordinary life to places that are more positive. Yusuf Keten has studied Mechanical Engineering at degree level while in Turkey but has also studied Technical Art and has loved painting from an early age.
