About
‘You and Me’ is the first solo show in the south West of works by Will Hughes, taking place at the Roper Gallery at Bath Artist Studios. After graduating in 2018 from Bath Spa University Will won the Kenneth Armitage Graduate Sculpture Prize and a years studio fellowship at Spike Island. This show represents the culmination of these two awards and shows the work they have produced over the last year. The works on display include kinetic and static sculptures with influences ranging from torture and atonement to depression and escape, the themes are quite dark in nature but are shown in works which are playful, sexy and seductive to look upon. Pink lemonade and French fancies will be served at the opening.
