AboutObjects display their history through varying forms - the manner of their manufacture , their materiality, their marks and stains, their renovations and repairs, and the natural ageing of material through time and function. Such details allow us to read objects presenting clues to build up a more fully formed picture. But what of that which can't be directly read or placed? What do we subconsciously pick up on with objects and spaces by allowing our imaginations to weave a story or an ambience? In their debut collaborative show, Sally Wright and Matt Day investigate these themes through the exploration of surfaces, language, text and objects.
Sally Wright and Matt Day are artists that live and work in London.
