From August 18th Zamil Ibn Zubair will showcase his very first collection -his XVIII QKiNGS at London's Underdog Gallery. His works, an inspired combination of photography, paint and digital is a tribute to London and moods.

About

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MkatuL1nIpw&feature=youtu.be

For him, his journey started 18 years ago with a move to India, from there he has travelled his way across Asia, taking in the inspiration each place offered, absorbing the colour, smells, taste but more poignantly the setbacks and disappointments.

He would then spend 18 months bringing his 18 QKings to life. Hoping to share his creations, courageously, and let's be honest, ambitiously, he decided to give himself 18 days to create his first show.

And so, on the 18th hour of the 18th August, Zamil will present his 18 Qkings to London, a city that foster his passion and talent, and whose beauty and diversity can be spotted through the colour of his work.

The title - 18 QKings, stems as a tribute to London. The inspiration behind the collection is moods, the duality and opposing forces between them, how, like a King can’t stand without his Queen, we must know sadness to appreciate joy. The majesty and grandeur of the city is represented in the scope and scale of colour, size and vibrancy.

Each piece is bold and holds something captivating and deserving of a better look. Within each glance there is something new to see, understand and feel. Zamil has captured the duality of emotions that often lead to various moods with great understanding and sensitivity.
