Somerset House Studios guest curate Wysing Polyphonic 2019, the tenth edition of our annual music festival with live music and performance taking place over four covered stages, plus a curated film and talks programme, to be announced.
Wysing Polyphonic 2019 considers the idea of connection, moving beyond Wysing's site as a place where artists meet and experiment to consider connection beyond the physical: connection as a channel of communication; an incantation, returning, or heralding; the calling on an ‘other’ or unknown to understand different worlds and possibilities. The festival includes a number of new commissions and performances that have been specially developed and created.
Wysing Polyphonic is presented in partnership with The Wire and is produced in partnership with Cambridge Junction with funding from Arts Council England.
