The events and workshops organised in collaboration are intended to open discussion and provide a platform for further dialogue on the concept of /wvndər/

PROGRAMME OF EVENTS

THU 8 SEPTEMBER

6pm - 9.30pm:  Private View Exhibtion Preview with El Salvadorian Pupusas by Cuzcatlan - Exclusively sought from the El Salvadorian Embassy, Adelina Bonila is the only person in London making this authentic El Salvadorian Street snack. Enjoy them with Central American music and cocktails.

FRI 9 SEPTEMBER

12pm - 6pm:  Gallery open 6pm - 9pm Salon *£10 A collaboration with The 6x9 Salon Six acts, from a photographer to a pilgrim, zoologist to a tourist, speak for 9 minutes on the topic of travel and /w ndər/ing with a Central America inspired supper.

SAT 10 SEPTEMBER

2pm - 4pm: Art walk *Free A walking workshop /w ndər/ing from the gallery collecting images, rubbings and objects to compose pieces that describe the experience. Individually, in pairs and collectively. What is it to /w ndər/?

4pm - 8pm: Gallery open

SUN 11 SEPTEMBER

10am -12pm: Breakfast Club *£5 A round table discussion of travel and privilege over a Central American inspired breakfast.

The project /wvndər/ is an attempt to share individual experiences of /w ndər/ing and to explore the /w ndər/ing experiences of others.

The aim is to consider humanity globally, investigate realities of human nature and nurture and acknowledge disparities of circumstance and situation - using the arts as a medium and mediator to address these complex situations.

The project was conceived after reflecting on a decade of crosscontinent travel, questioning our own motives, evaluating our experiences and feeling a need to investigate the social responsibility of globalisation and examine the perspective of privilege.

wander / verb : To rove or roam. To go here and there with no definite route or object, with no direct course, or by a round about way. To move slowly away from a fixed point or place.

wander / noun : A ramble or stroll. An act or instance of wandering.

wonder / verb The desire to know something; to ask yourself questions, to feel or to be in doubt. To look with curiosity.

wonder / noun The emotion excited by that which is unexpected or extraordinary. The quality of being strange. A sweet friedcake.

/w ndər/ verb The simultaneous act of wondering and wandering. noun An on-going project that explores experiences of /w^ndər/ing
