Williams’ first exhibition at Limoncello presents a new video animating his series of monochrome ink drawings. The video weaves a morose fable of a 39 year old man, The Big Scholar, who backs up his secrets to a hard drive in a cave for no-one to find. Probably ever.

‘Two glaziers holding hiking sticks are walking along the path towards him. Would it surprise you if I told you that glaziers have a cruel streak? Not all of them but a fair few. What If I told you that these two are discussing fantastical and elaborate ways to kill people. They are vamping on the idea of using their ungainly glass-moving van as a makeshift guillotine. Yes. Parking half on the curb, half on the road near drains to get the angle right then dropping huge panes of glass vertically on people’s necks. Suckered handles could be released and the pane drops snapping the neck of the poor wretch. Foam blocks catch the glass of course. After, wipe it clean with a chamois and put it back in position. The glaziers perform a childish how-de-do as they pass the Big Scholar and continue with their babbling as they walk out of earshot. “I heard that you was a freak”, the small glazier says spinning on his heel 360º. “You heard half right”, said the big glazier spinning back the other way: “I was a freak.”
