London-based artist, fashion designer, and mental health activist Sarah Hollebon raises awareness of social issues through the medium of fashion, to open-up conversations safely on topics such as mental health and trauma.
About
This summer, GreatArt in Shoreditch will be hosting Sarah Hollebon’s first solo show in London, ‘Woven Experiences’ which will run from Tuesday 5 July until Saturday 30 July.
Address: GreatArt, 49 Kingsland Road, Hoxton Shoreditch, London, E2 8AG.
The exhibition will include pieces from Sarah's new collection, Life After Trauma, key garments from previous collections, and interviews Sarah conducts with people who have a lived experience of a social issue.
Weaving personal stories and experiences into each garment is powerful way to initiate conversations, create awareness, and further education, all for positive change.
Collaborations are an important part of Sarah’s work as this helps create positive and meaningful social impact. Throughout the exhibition there will be art featured by self-taught hand illustrator Connor Lawson, textile artist Rebecca Bruton, London College of Fashion graduate footwear designer Cecília Glória, and hand embroiderer Beth Cole who has worked for various fashion houses including Alexander McQueen and Ralph and Russo.
The exhibition is curated by Katie-Marie Ford, independent curator, writer, and holistic coach based in London.
