Worthing Light Festival

Applications are currently being invited for the 2017 Worthing Light Festival, an exhibition of stunning, sustainable art installations that light up on the beach.

If you would like to showcase your work on the beach by EAST BEACH STUDIOS and Beach House Grounds we would love to hear from you. 

An event for all the family to stroll amongst the artwork day & night.  Bring a picnic or a midnight feast and stay a while.  Treat yourself to Coast Café.

There are two categories; over and under 16 years of age.  The best installation in each category will receive £100 each.

Applications are welcomed by amateur and professional artists / makers / designers working in any medium suitable for an outdoor exhibition. 1 entry per entrant.  Individual or group applications are eligible.

Please send 3 images / diagrams of the work you are proposing to exhibit to:

Please include media, dimensions and artist’s price (if it is for sale). All work must be suitable for exhibiting outdoors and will need to pass a strict risk assessment. 

All installations must light up.  The power source must use renewable energy or a 12V battery. All submissions must show how the installation can be fixed to the ground.

Please also say whether you are under or over 16 years of age on September 8th 2017.

All applicants must show that they have their own Public Liability insurance.

All installations will be cared for by a security guard over the festival period but WLF accepts no liability for loss of damage.  The decisions of the panel are final.  Full terms and conditions are available on our Facebook page:

Deadline for submissions Wednesday 31st May 2017. 

Successful artists will be notified by Mid-June.
