World's End Group Portraits

The Group is inspired by both modern practice and the great traditions of the past. Their pictures reflect this diversity and showcase their highly individual approaches to the art of figurative painting. The exhibition has work by all eight artists in the Group and ranges from very contemporary explorations of form and representation to celebrations of classical technique and subject matter. The artists are in their fifth year of working together: they met while training at the Heatherley School of Fine Art in Chelsea. They continue to paint as a group, sharing a love of working directly from life while pursuing their own vision. This is their third group show.
