About
World Press Photo 2018 once again turns Barcelona into one of the foremost cities in the world where the winning photographs of the prestigious photojournalism contest are shown, and the few cities that exhibit the winning productions of the Digital Storytelling Contest.
The fourteenth edition of the World Press Photo exhibition in Barcelona, on display at the CCCB, is organised by the Photographic Social Vision Foundation, which offers a comprehensive programme of side activitiesand guided visits for a deeper and more understanding experience.
Under the motto #verparaentender, the exhibition shows mainly works previously unpublished in our country, offering the possibility to access stories without manipulations, enriching the different points of view on current affairs.
For the first time, the World Press Photo Foundation has shortlisted six nominees for the major prize of the World Press Photo of the Year, chosen from amongst the nominated singles and the nominated stories in each category. The debate regarding the most emblematic image of 2017 will continue after the official announcement of the winning photograph and throughout the exhibition, where these 6 images will be highlighted.
