Led by resident Thomas Pausz, this workshop will explore the biological and geological qualities of the environment at the award winning Culpeper Community Gardens.

About

Growing plants and crops depends on healthy soil, water and air, all elements which we have to care for.

We will explore soil and air composition, moisture and temperature as a part of the landscape. We will make these elements visual by imagining and making accessible tools to understand and map our environment.

The participants will collectively realise some maps of the 'invisible' garden using bio-materials found on site.

At 14:00 there will be an open discussion over lunch where designer Thomas Pausz will invite Culpeper volunteers and guests artists from Delfina Foundation and Evening Class Collective to discuss how developing creative tools to extend gardener's skills can empower growing communities.
