Workshop in Botanical Illustration for All

This is one of two introductory workshops for all, no prior experience is needed . Students will have the opportunity to explore drawing plants and become aware of the range of techniques for representation together with some tuition in basic scientific structure of the plant. The latter not only increases the students' appreciation of the plant, but assists in the rendering of the plant in graphic form. Students may bring their own materials for drawing; all other equipment and materials are provided. The course is taught within an artist's studio complex and is led by Alison Day, who is both artist/photographer and qualified botanist/environmentalist.
