To round the year up we present a mix of new and affordable works on paper in a variety of media including oil, acrylic, pastel, and charcoal from familiar and well established gallery artists: Malcolm Ashman ROI, Victoria Gamberoni, Jeannette Hayes PS, Peter Kettle FRSA, Sumi Perera RE, Endré Roder, Norma Stephenson and April Young.
About
Presenting Malcolm Ashman's patterned patchwork countrysides, pastel landscapes by Norma Stephenson and introducing Jeannette Hayes' atmospheric abstract environments.
Victoria Gamberoni's oils and acrylics stir a sense of nostalgia into her figurative scenes, her palette in contrast with the lively and bold exotic figures by Endré Roder, imbued with his signature motifs. Roder's strong form is reflected in the architectural graphic prints of Sumi Perera, with new works utilising etching, aquatint and embossing.
Works on Paper offers accessibility into these artists' practices, and brings new and surprising perspectives on their work. Ceramist April Young demonstrates her draftsmanship skills with flowing charcoal drawings of mythological creatures, and Peter Kettle represents the Welsh landscape in his miniature studies of pure surface texture.
